                A commissioned piece celebrating the beauty and glory of the hibiscus flower.  Foliage greens are replaced with vibrant alizarins, rose madders and cadmium reds.  My interest was to paint the light and delicacy of this tropical flower.  The specially constructed side panels form a kind of altar piece triptych further glorifying our natural wonders.
